Alex has worked in Architecture since 1985 in Canada and New Zealand. Joining the Building Biology and Ecology (BBE) Institute in 1990, he began pioneering sustainable architecture in NZ, giving many talks and workshops around the country and designing dozens of homes. In 2000 he was made director of the New Zealand BBE (Building Biology & Ecology) Institute. |

Architect Completing his Architecture Degree in 1981, Don has focused on providing high quality architectural services to a range of community, education, commercial, and residential clients in both in Australia and New Zealand. Don's passion for the natural environment has been incorporated into his projects for over 20 years. He is a member of the Green Building Council, Solar Action, and the Building Biology and Ecology Institute. Don is also a Building Research Association of NZ Green Home Scheme assessor, and is experienced in Permaculture Design. |

Architectural Designer Tony has been designing for more than 13 years. His experience includes designing homes, apartment blocks, residential complexes, churches and schools in New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, USA, UK, Dubai, Iran, the Caribbean, Mauritius, Panama and Chile, and disaster-relief housing in Pakistan. Much of this work has involved one-on-one real-time remote design with clients via the internet. Tony works with a wide palette of design styles and technologies, including early adoption of leading-edge techniques in passive heating and cooling, low-carbon life-cycle materials and ultra-high-end insulation systems. |

Architect Registered in 2003 in the UK, Tom has had 10 years experience in the UK running large residential and commercial design projects for a number of leading architects. Tom excels in incorporating passive design, off grid power systems, natural materials, and solar water heating for maximum sustainability and energy efficiency, for both single dwellings or multi-residential developments. Tom likes to design simply, elegantly, with robust and buildable details. Tom is a member of the BBE Institute, and is also training to become a Building Sustainability Assessor (ASSA). |
